Would I were stedfast as thou art.

Last night I rented Bright Star, a movie by Jane Campion. The film was based on a secret romance between the 19th century poet John Keats (Ben Whishaw) and Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish). The movie is set in the breathtaking countryside of Hyde, London. Fanny's awe inspiring wardrobe provides a bright pop to a background whose colors are beautifully whitewashed. The story of the two lovers is equally endearing due to the innocent and honestly virtuous love the two have for each other. A very different work from Ms. Campion's The Piano, I found it a quite refreshing change of pace.

Verdict: A definte must see, even the boyfriend didn't hate it (he is an english major though). Although, be prepared for some serious tear duct action near the end! I sobbed like the little girl that I am.

Weather Vain

It's very gray outside today. I am drinking my favorite brand of Oolong tea that I finally found at the Buford Hwy Farmers Market this past weekend. I have been on a serious tea kick oweing to the fact that my wonderful boyfriend bought me a very awesome red Le Creuset tea pot for x-mas. I think its my new favorite thing.

To add some color to the day lets look at some pretty pictures:

It ain't gonna save me.

Jay Reatard died today. Too soon for a very talented guy. What a bummer.
