Your a gem.

I'm obsessed with these paintings by Carly Waito. I already have a soft spot for gems, minerals, and pretty much any sort of rock that looks cool. Blame it on all the geology classes I took in college, but I am currently envisioning one of these babies hanging next to my computer so I can stare at it constantly. Commence saving.

Lady Crush of the Day: Binki Shapiro

Resort 2011

Taking the cake this year is Mr. Pillip Lim.  Damn. This is like a wardrobe plucked from my sparkly, peach, metallic drenched dreams. I love the huge wooden bangle and the high class version of the moccasin. I think my favorite might be the last outfit with the little crop top, lace up skirt, and white leather vest that I would kill for. Apparently Mr. Lim was channeling Bianca Jagger in the 70s, and this collection is spot on with a little modern updating. I die.

Tallulah

Went to Tallulah Gorge yesterday with Ryan. We tried to get permits for walking in the actual floor of the gorge, but they weren't granting them yesterday. I think we will have to try again, because if you get the permits you can hike to Bridal Veil falls, aka sliding rock! Next time, I wanna pack a lunch and wear my bathing suit, because staring at huge pools of water just made me wanna swim (not to mention the fact that I was sweating buckets walking up and down 2000 stairs. literally. ). There are 5 waterfalls: Ladore, Tempesta, Hurricane, Oceana, Bridal Veil. This is Hurricane falls.

babycakes.

This morning I was seriously craving blueberry muffins. For most people this would be a fairly simple thing, but I am on a gluten free diet so I don't have the luxury of running to the nearest coffee shop or bakery to grab one. So I decide to make some. I went this super cute health food store called Garden of Eden which hands down has the best gluten free selection of any store in Atlanta. Bought some plain muffin mix and added brown sugar, cinnamon and blueberries. I've tried to make them from scratch before, but the ingredients are so expensive it would cost you 15-20 dollars to make the mix you can buy for 5. Anyway, they were delicious! mmm, washed them down with some homemade ginger molasses tea, and now im ready to take on the world, with breakfast for tomorrow to boot.
